On Boxing Day 2004, I was on my way to the beach in Thailand from the airport when the tsunami happened. After being glued to the news for a few days, it dawned on me how close I was to death, and that being alive was a privilege. It was then that I vowed to myself to dedicate the rest of my life to helping others.
I decided to become a Pilates teacher focused on rehabilitation. As fate would have it, I fell in the Philippines crushing my tailbone just days before starting the Pilates teacher training. My dreams and body damaged, I dedicated my life teaching impoverished high school students for over a decade.
What I found frustrating at school was the general lack of education and awareness of health. I did my utmost to fit the topic of well-being and conservation into my teaching. With only 5 hours of sleep per night combined with crazy schedules and mounting stress, I was too caught up in life to remember what good postures meant. I developed kyphosis and painful arthritis in my neck, lumbar and adrenal fatigue.
I was miserable, overweight, totally out of shape and burned-out. I hated my life & was lost! I felt as if I was selling my soul along with my health which I knew was definitely worth more than my salary. I was convinced that I was on a path to a major health crisis if I wander any further from my original path, which was to help people to become healthier.
My only salvation was my passion for well-being which has only grown stronger over the years. I spent all of my spare time researching and qualifying in health coaching and nutrition; which led me to be an influencer in the early days of social media.
For over a decade, I visited numerous chiropractors and specialists for my neck and back with no success. I felt alone and helpless with my pain. I needed to take matter in my own hands and to reclaim my life!
I now help people all over the world in English, French and Chinese with the Quadrant of Health, which has been my personal road map to optimal health. This time-tested framework has helped me to harmonise the four essential elements whilst combining my Chinese heritage with my western education. It is a result of over a decade of research and experiments, every element in my quadrant was incorporated into my own lifestyle which I simply cannot live without!
When it comes to pain and weight loss, I have been there and I've got your back! I looking forward to sharing with you the simple steps that I believe will genuinely help you to achieve your goals and inspiring you to live and love your inspired life!
