My Sacred Morning Ritual: What I have before, during and after breakfast

Updated: Apr 19, 2022

Upon waking up, listen to something sacred because what you do the first 20 minutes of your day sets the tone for the day. Don't check your emails, phone messages or Facebook page just yet.

You can choose to start the day with gratitude, meditation, affirmations or listening to singing bowls and mantras. I personally fall asleep and wake up to Edgar Cayce's Co-creation app that offers 3 daily tips called, Living Your Spirit Destiny.

Everyday, after having fasted for at least 16 hours from the previous night, I break my fast at around 3 pm. Intermittent-fasting produces Human Growth Hormones (GHG) and stem cells that are rejuvenating to the body; therefore, instead of digesting, our body repairs itself through autophagy, a process in which the proteins from our dead and cancer cells is recycled.

Fasting means consuming water only.

How you start the day sets the tone for the rest of the day! Every morning, after oil-pulling, I have my one-litre of filtered, mineralised, hydrogenated and structured water whilst sunbathing whenever I can.

Before breakfast I have a highly anti-inflammatory morning potion, make sure that it's not hot because anything above 37 degrees or body temperature will not enable the lemon juice to detox and flush your organs properly, and here's the recipe for the Zinger Stinger:

  • 1 lemon

  • 1 inch of chopped fresh tumeric

  • A handful of chopped ginger

  • A pinch of ground blackpepper

  • 4 sprigs of thyme

  • 1 sprig of rosemary

  • A handful of sage

  • A pinch of oregano

  • 25 ml Aloe vera juice

  • 2 tbsp Inulin

  • 2 cups of ginger, tumeric and blackpepper tea @ room temperature

  • 1 tsp raw unpasturised honey

Method

  • Pre-boil a handful of chopped ginger and turmeric with blackpepper, thyme, rosemary, sage and oregano and let it cool down to room temperature or add cold water to the hot tea if you don’t have time

  • Pre-soak the lemon in baking soda and filtered water for half an hour to remove pesticides from the skin then rinse with filtered water

  • Cut the lemon into 2 halves

  • Juice the lemon

  • Chop the skin of ½ of the lemon into small pieces

  • Add a dash aloe vera juice

  • Add 2 tbsp of inulin

  • Add the cold ginger and turmeric tea with blackpepper

  • Stir in the honey with a ceramic spoon

Rational

  • To detox, hydrate, mineralize and alkalinise. The lemon skin is richer in vitamin C than the juice, it’s also a great source of calcium that prevents osteoporosis.

  • Himalayan salt has 88 bioavailable trace minerals and it also helps with rehydration.

  • Like lemons, aloe vera juice is also excellent for rehydration, and it’s rich in minerals and phytonutrients. It enables your liver and kidneys that is responsible for detox will function optimally. Aloe vera is ideal for your digestive system and reduces heart burn and Irritable Bowel Syndomes (IBS).

  • Inulin is a water-soluble fibre or a prebiotic that your gut bacteria need in order to thrive. Inulin is made out of chicory roots, and also a good sugar replacement for baking. Fibre is an excellent barrier for the absorption of sugar into the bloodstream.

  • Raw honey is the perfect source of glycogen for the liver and it doesn't spike your blood sugar level. It enhances our immune system as well with its live enzymes - so make sure that it's RAW. Honey makes lemons more bioavailable.

  • Thyme, rosemary, oregano and sage are antiseptic, antimicrobial, antiviral

Wait for the lemon potion go down for at least half an hour, then drink your PURE organic celery smoothies, Simply remove the leaves and blend it so that u also drink all the fibre as well in one large glass. It's highly nutritious, medicinal and therapeutic for treating and preventing numerous chronic conditions.

Make sure that you don't mix it with anything else or it doesn't work. Let the celery smoothies go down for half and hour before breakfast.

In order to get the full benefits, celery juice must be consumed pure and alone at least half an hour after your lemon potion on an empty stomach. It is also to be consumed within 24 hours, bear in mind that it loses its nutrients by the hour.

Packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, celery juice maximises the effects of heavy metal detox and it kills bugs such as the Epstein-Barr and all the Strep viruses. It acts as an amplifier and makes whatever that you’re doing in service of your wellness all the more potent.

Instructions:

  • Take a bunch of organic celery, remove the leaves and soak in 1 tablespoonful of baking soda and a litre of water to clean.

  • Run it through a slow, masticating juicer as opposed to a highspeed juicer that can cook the juice by the heat in the motor.

  • Use a mesh to strain out all the pulps – keep it pure as it is a herbal medicine, don’t mix it with any other juice.

  • Or use a blender and strain the pulp with a cheesecloth or mesh strainer.

Herbal Medicinal benefits:

  • 95 per cent of celery is water, which means that it helps your skin stay supple and hydrated. The antioxidant properties detox and remove free radicals from your skin, which makes it appear clearer. It contains vitamins A,B,K, niacin and folate that help rejuvenate and repair the skin which then glows.

  • Anti-inflammatory & alkaline. The flavonoids that celery juice contains also protect us against cancer, heart diseases and dementia.

  • Weight loss: every celery stick contains only 6 calories & they are filling too!

  • Digestive health: rich in both water soluble and insoluble fibre, antixoidants, celery juice is perfect for your gut health. It reduces acid reflux and helps repair the stomach lining. Perfect for those who have stomach ulcers.

  • Sleep quality: high in magnesium, which promotes sleep.

Breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day no matter what time your break your fast. In case you only have one meal a day, make sure that your breakfast count. I tend to have something immune-boosting, low-carbs, low-sugar, high in vitamins, minerals, fibre, omega-3, phytonutrients, anti-inflammatory, antioxidants that come with intense, vibrant colours of the rainbow, calcium and proteins. The following is what you can find in my breakfast:

It's advisable to avoid caffeine altogether because it causes adrenal fatigue. Caffeine triggers a fight or flight reaction that flushes our organs with adrenaline that is corrosive and detrimental to our brains, kidneys and livers.

On the other hand, herbal tea is high in anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. I personally love this mix:

Licorice

Dandelion roots

Burdock roots

Mullein leaf

Thyme
